So my problem was pushing the lever all the way to float.
So I’m back at it this time it’s a 8310 that hasn’t had a scraper hook up previously. I have the voltage at 2.5v outputing to SCV1 and the EC doesn’t come up on the screen. I don’t have any hoses plugged into the SCV can it detect that and not start the control?
Wondering if it has something to do with the SCU address (jumpers?) @WildBuckwheat posted above.
The system is not capable of detecting whether or not hoses are plugged in.
I haven’t played around with the harness yet but I believe EC (external control, laser scraper) mode is selected by connecting the jumpers. With no jumpers installed the SCV is in normal SCV operation mode and your voltage is ignored.
You can check how the tractor is interpreting the jumpers by checking address SCU 004. If you see 101 at this address then the tractor is reading in 5v (supplied by pin A) at jumpers G and J and the system should be in laser scraper mode.
Ok I think that makes sense.
