Push bottom auto steer enable not working

Hello. I’m assembling an auto steer system for family and have run into a couple issues. I don’t have it in a tractor yet so I’m just bench testing but when I short pin 8 to gnd the “steer” LED on the board lights up but the auto steer on the GUI does not turn green. I don’t know why it won’t engage, any ideas? The main LEDS on the boards by the connector indicate auto steer is on when I engage it with the gui but not with pin 8. I’ve attached a picture of my board, One picture with pin 8 nominal and the other shorted to gnd. I did find in the steer settings the option so set the auto steer switch to a momentary button vs a switch and I set it to momentary.

Have you selected 'button ’ in the steer engage settings
Button is for a momentary push button
Sometimes you need to send and save a few times
From default its set to switch i think

I have selected button. I’ll double check after work but pretty sure it saved correctly.

We all have different perseption on how a switch and button works, try to select switch instead.

Edit: maybe you need to reconfigure the teensy, that seems to be the solution in this thread, with same problems as you described.

Yes I read that post earlier. I seem to have a different issue as it never turns on. Initially I didn’t know about the setting so it was on switch for a while and did not work. When I found the setting and changed it to button it still did not work.

I think it is time to show us the all settings log/print out.

You are sure you haven’t forgotten to click send, to tell teensy what your settings are.
And you have IP set.

Hey. So I just got back to my hotel and booted it up and it works.. I don’t know maybe the teesny or AgOpen software needed a restart after I pushed the changes to update or maybe I was tired last night doing something dumb. Regardless thanks for taking the time to look at my post and comment! Hoping to get this on a tractor next week and only have 1 more real issue to resolve so I’m excited about that.

there is also a setting to disable remote autosteer, (if set correct you should see an R in the onscreen autosteer button)
