Do you think I’d be better just ordering the M2 without the antenna and picking out a different one for the tractor? Or is the M2 one a good option for the tractor setup so I might as well get it as a package?

Really whatever L1/L2/L5 antenna you think looks coolest will work on the tractor side, as long as it is in the right voltage range…
But there are benefits to using the survey style on the base.
The tallysman helical packaged with the M2 is $300 by itself from Digikey, and very good at maintaining fix in hills and by tree lines as a rover.
