I saw that there is Rate data and shape files for each job in the rate controller documents now but when I try to open the job shapefile in Agleader SMS or any of several shapefile viewers online they come up with an error. SMS specifically says there’s no data or it cannot be read. Has anyone had any luck viewing these shape files?
If it says “no data”, are you sure you copied both the SHP and the DBF file?
I’m pretty sure SMS just searches for the relevant files in the folder when you select the .shp file. But in the job folder I only have a .shp file and .cpg, along with an Excel file.
That is the structure I have. Under size mine all say 0 as well. The .dbf file was set to be opened with excel. Switched it to notepad and then the file type showed correctly.
Zones have to be added to the map before any data is saved. Under Products/Rate Map press button 2 to begin editing. Press button 6 to create a zone. Click on the corners of the zone, name the zone, enter the rates and save the edits with button 11. It will take a short amount of time to build the zone. Now there will be data in the job folder. As the product is applied to the field an as-applied map can be shown. The applied values are saved in a csv file in the job folder.
If they’re zero bytes, then they’re empty tho… right-click on the shp file and do properties, to be sure.
Ok. I do have the applied values that I can look at. Just the shape file is empty. I will make a zone for the whole field then and see if that solves the problem!
