Part time farmer, full time pilot. Undergraduate was in aerospace engineering with my main focus at the time on unpiloted vehicles. Dipped my toes back into electronics and programming a couple years ago to solve some annoying problems in my hobby farming activities. I knew of the AOG community for a while but it initially seemed like a rabbit hole I could get lost in, so only recently decided to peruse it, and it has been enjoyable and actually now quite useful for me. I always had the impression that RTK level autosteer was way too expensive for a hobby farmer, but in reality an AOG autosteer system is cheaper than many entry level guidance only commercial systems, and without the need for expensive subscriptions.
