Advice on an install on new holland T6.180

Hello. New here
I am interested in fitting an auto steer system to my t6.180
I’ve had it since new and as far as I’m aware it is not steer ready. However I do have the buttons on the sidewinder and touch pad.
Was wondering if it could be connected up via isobus to work the steering using it’s own steering valve and was. Which it should have already for the auto dif lock in the front axle or am I better going down the route of a wheel motor?
Is the
Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before committing completly.
It’s a 2019 t6180 with dynamic command with the standard dog screen
Any help appreciated thankyou

Maybe have a look at the steering valve to see if its steer ready.
You could possibly use the steer button you already have and you will almost certainly be able to use the fitted steering angle sensor provided it still works. This will work with whatever system you decide to install.
If no steering valve present thats cooked the steering over canbus idea

Thanks. Would you have any idea what I am looking for? Pipes go from orbital unit back under the cab to a valve that I can’t see very well. Been looking at these forums for a while and there’s so many options. If it’s what I think it is I would have thought I could turn it on via the h menu if that option is there. Is the 4.5 board the best one to go for?
Thanks again

Update. Got a minute and went through the h menu and changed to Chanel 2. Didn’t throw me out so that’s a good sign I suppose

Doesn’t look steer ready, have you the autosteer rocker switch on the B pillar?

If it’s not you can use the factory fit WAS, the steering engage button on the joystick and then fit a Baraki valve.

No don’t have the rocker switch I would think the wires are there behind the panel though if that’s what it needs. Just mainly wondering if it’s possible to switch it on in effect then connect to it. If not will look at other options

Without the hydraulic steering valve you have nothing to switch on, take a picture of the valve you can see the Danfoss electric head on it or not as the case maybe.

Ok thanks. I presumed the electrical bits were on a valve further away from the danfoss unit. So if it was steer ready the solenoids would be on the orbital unit would they?

2018+ it would have Danfoss Canbus orbital.

Early steer ready had separate valve.

You have a load sensing orbital there.

The tractor is very late 2019. Would that work through the canbus then?

If it was steer ready yes, but appears not to be, so the only thing you can use Canbus for is the steering engage button on joystick.

You will need a Baraki valve if you want hydraulic steering a Keya motor for electric steering wheel or Phidgets motor and mounts for 3D printed cogs.

Thankyou. I’ll keep exploring these forums. It’s fascinating me what can be done!
