AgAvaloniaGPS - OpenGL - Variable Rate - Developpement

Hello everyone,
Let me introduce myself first:
I am French and come from a family of farmers. I myself am not in agriculture but since the end of my studies in technology (mechanics, electronics and especially computer science).

Since 1999, I only work on the linux environment (Debian) and have become refractory to the windows environment.

Currently, I am finishing the creation of a company dedicated to technical inspections by UAS (drones) for the fields of construction, energy, and others but also for agriculture, which fascinates me.

I hope to be able to help our farmers improve their financial margins and ease the harshness of this field.

So, for about a year now, I have been researching, discussing with farmers, and trying to find the best compromise of benefits for the agricultural world, which has had to reassess itself with still-high costs, mainly regarding phytosanitary inputs, fertilizers and petroleum products.

I reach the following conclusions:

The only way to improve daily life and costs is to boost and make maximum use of the concept of agriculture 2.0 or precision agriculture.

Also, thank you to the AgOpenGPS community for the work done.

Being a pure librist and fervent follower of the real open source, I monitor or use super free projects like linuxcnc, freeCAD, WebODM, QGis, QelectroTech, and many others.

When I need it, I mainly develop in bash, a bit of python, but mostly in C, ANSI or GoLang, which is a multi-platform form of C and very powerful at the system level.

I recently became an AGOpenGPS user and discovered the new Valonia development that I immediately tested on my Debian and it works very well.

Regarding the graphic display and OpenGL issues, this may be a false issue because my display tests with hybrid satellite maps as backgrounds are very good.

The nvidia-smi recognizes the application.

What about the pre-release? Can be used in place of the standard version in production mode for phyto treatment in multi-section with PWM nozzle holder as SK21 has tested it to allow the retrofit of towed or self-propelled sprayers.

I think that this processing solution based on modulation cards (drones or others) with a sprayer in variable-flow nozzles using PWM is the solution to significantly reduce financial costs and the amount of nitrogen released into the soil without reducing production for small and medium-sized farmers ( > 100 ha under cultivation) in the face of proprietary products that are only accessible to field crops given the amount of installations.

Retrofitting a conventional sprayer is not so complicated if we can create a standard kit and installation assistance because many are not technically competent or do not have the time but would be very happy to take advantage of such a solution.

Now I realize that many are being approached by resellers of systems of Chinese origin. It makes my heart ache… because I often see Mensogère advertising about the system’s capabilities.

What do you think about it as a user?
Are you interested?

Do you know Ekylibre? and use it yourself? If so, what feedback do you make of it?

Finally, I remain at the disposal of the community for any projects in dev, translations, or otherwise.

Thank you for your feedback
and long live AgOpenGPS and AgValoniaGPS.
