Hello
I wanted to know if anyone has already launched the latest AgOpenGPS and RateControll and it works together based on maps imported as SHAPE to RC?
I need to know how these two applications communicate? Are the rates set manually in RC? Or maybe export from FMS already carries such information?
As you know, AgOpenGPS has abandoned AppMap in its interface. The RC instructions on GitHub are also misleading, mentioning the modification of the PNG file in the PhotoDemon program. I assume this instruction is outdated and not applicable?
The two apps with the shape files have been tested on the bench. Rate maps can be defined in RC or imported from other shape maps. The attributes need to be cross referenced. This is handled when the file is imported. This has had very little testing. The rate map instructions on github are out of date and will be updated.
Thank you for all the work you have put into this. Please keep us updated on the development of a process for making variable rate maps. I have an electric planter drive built and running off of the RC12-2 rate control board in the basement. It just needs to be mounted on the planter.
Does anyone know how to run RC+AOG so that the dose is shown in RC when “Enable VR” is enabled in RC ? When the vehicle moves through the field and passes through the application map zone boundaries, so that the base dose changes in “VR Target”.
I wanted to test the solution and configuration on simulation, without hardware and electronics. Is it possible to do this when the “Mod” control in RateControllerApp is red - disabled ?
If VR is enabled the target rate will update as the tractor goes through the zones. It will show the changing target rate without a rate module being attached.
