Just want to know if there is any best way to use AGOpenGPS with Ubuntu ?
First option: use native alternative developed with cross-platform in mind: QtAgOpenGPS lives… and needs a new name. This is unfortunately no longer developed.
Second option: use Wine with official AgOpenGPS version: Wine bug fixed finally, can again run AgOpenGPS under Wine on Linux. I cant remember now what works and what does not. New version of AoG should work good with Wine I guess.
Third option: compile AgOpenGPS yourself for Linux. See last previous topic (like this post) and AgOpenGPS with Linux. Upstream AoG will likely not work with Mono, there few fixes needed (as I wrote in linked post).
the wine issue is primarily the 127.0.0.255 address, which AgIO now lets you change to 127.0.0.1.
