New to this, but was wondering about kubota tractors. I want to mess around with autosteer, but I am mainly interested in rate contollers. We are an almond farm in california, and no one that I know of has come out with an easy, in-cab rate controller for fan sprayers that blow the material into the canopy of the tree. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.
I’m new here as well. My company builds machine vision sensors for apple & pear orchards (called TreeScout by Aurea Imaging), and our main application is targetted spraying on individual tree level. Our biggest bottleneck is the availability of VRA-capable machines, such as fert. spreaders, airblast sprayers and root pruners. There’s a couple of commercial retrofits kits available, and we’ve had a few customers succesfully implement (themselves) the Raven RCM module, which is an ISOBUS rate controller for any type of implement.
I haven’t seen any DIY setups with simpler setups, but we’d be very interested if you can find any!
