Dear All,
I use AOG version 6.6.2 all in UDP and it works fine.
GPS signal comming in UDP, and all peripherals in UDP with different IP address.
If I use the simulation mode, I can see the simulated speed on AOG and
on PGN254 bytes 5 and 6, this is OK.
When I switch to normal mode, indication on AOG is 314 2 (fixed) instead of speed and I can not read real speed on PGN254.
If someone could help me what could be wrong (because speed indication is very useful)
Best regards,
Francois
Are you sending VTG message to AOG?
WOW Thank you very much Matthew, this is the solution,
I’ve added VTG to the F9P NMEA messages and now I’ve the right speed indication on AOG and on PGN.
Congratulation to you, I’ll never had find that alone…
I need that because I’ve developped a UDP Wifi Display which generates the tick for the sprayer (based on ESP8266) See picture below.
(Previously tick was generated by magnet on the front wheel axle but was subject to slipping when muddy or uphill) Now it’s the “real” speed.
Thank you again for your precious help
Francois

There was only one brief version of AOG that didn’t use VTG, otherwise the rest all need it.
Hello, I am also interested in the GPS speed function, but I don’t understand the settings and the connection of the hardware. Can you explain it in detail? Thank you.
Hello,
My system is full Wifi, so this small “box” does the following :
- it receives the UDP Wifi PGN 254 bytes 5 and 6 from AOG
- displays it on a I2C oled display,
- generates PWM tick trough an optocoupler (to simulate the speed sensor on the wheel of the tractor)
I’ve used (less than 20 €)
- ESP8266 Wemos D1 R1 because it has embedded dc dc suply
- Green I2C oled display
- optocoupler 6n137 on GPIO12 of ESP and on input of Spraymatic regulator
- plastic box
Electrical connections are only 12 V supply and connection to input of Spraymatic regulator speed sensor.
On the fertilizer, it is used only to indicates speed because the 40 years old mecanical speed/rpm indicators are very inaccurate.

Hello everybody,
One more technical question
In the list of PGN (I use Excel file PGN 5.7.xlsx)
Is there a PGN where I can get the covered surface ?
(In fact the green surface indicated by AOG)
→ With a bunch of software in my box, I could add an alarm easily
when the tank of the seeder is more or less empty.
Best regards
