Auto connect ethernet?

Hi,
Im still new to this, and yet to be operating a set up in a machine. I have a v4.5 board with a teensy, f9p and hoping to use a Keya wheel.
I had suspected i had fried my teensy, so have replaced it with another one, but have also been having my pcb connected to two separate computers over the time, one windows 10, the other windows 11, and it will inevitably be connected to a 3rd when it gets installed. Whenever i have changed the teensy or what computer/windows version I have to go back through IP address set up, and I feel like its never the same, and never works without 45 minutes of questioning everything i know/shouting at it.
In a future software version, is there any possibility of an option for an “auto connect” ethernet? Plug in and play for those who arent super fussed about specifics, with options for to also be able to manually configure if wanted? Or do I have an over simplified view of it all? Cheers

AGIO works best on local network 192.168.xxx.xx which is standard for any local network ( local as in not on the web) AGIO should always have the same IP address, just change the computer ip 4 to manual and enter the same ip as agio has . I know I can be frustrating to always change computer settings.

I have been using that format, but it also consumes a large amount of time when it doesnt work for reasons it doesnt explain well enough.
I spent 2 hours trying to get it to connect yesterday with no luck, and this morning it was suddenly all fine and working. It is just beyond my skill set to understand when it doesnt work!

You have to set the ethernet adapter option the first time. It takes like 2 minutes once you know how.

And this will never change once set for this conputer, unless you use a crappy USB-ethernet adapter.

I had an adapter once that was detected as a new device from time to time. Had to put the settings again.
