Hi I’m considering buying an OC valve to install on a New Holland T7050. I searched for some info an found that it could have some issues locking up but there no info on how to solve this. I’d use my tractor with autosteer for spraying but also for hauling bales so need steering to always work perfectly even when turning aggressively. Here’s a recent unanswered question I copied from the super long valve for sale post and wonder if someone can give an answer.
Hello, I have a 60L Baraki valve installed on a New Holland 7.290 and a 30L Baraki valve on a T7030. Now I’m having the same problem with both tractors: when the 3/2-way valves are de-energized or in road mode, there isn’t enough flow. If I turn the steering wheel quickly, it sometimes locks up completely until I release it. If I turn it slowly, it works fine. Are there any solutions for this?
Did you check for any adjusting flow screws on the side of the block?
Not familiar with these blocks but there are lots out there so you should get a solution
Maybe @Krisu can advise
Seems strange its happening on both installs.
Do yoy have the return going into a free flow return, possibly some back pressure not letting oil flow back quick enough
Does it behave properly when you use autosteer?
When I use automatic steering, everything works perfectly.
When I intervene, it also deactivates. As long as I turn the steering wheel slowly, everything works fine.
However, if I turn the steering wheel quickly, it becomes difficult to turn, or even locks up.
I’ve now tried two 2/2 NO-directional control valves for testing, connecting them in parallel to the O/S valve for the steering. These, along with the 3/2-way valves, switch over so that not all the oil has to pass through the valve block when using manual steering.
Then it works as it should. However, I’m a bit uneasy driving with so many valves.
In my opinion, the 3/2-way valves in the block don’t have a sufficient flow rate.
Unfortunately, I can’t install T-fittings in the steering lines because a Reactiv steering orbitrol is installed.
I’ve already tested that.
