Hello,

Most tablets today have only Wifi and USB, and I bought one of them.
I hope to connect AOG to PCB AIO via Wifi, via something like this : slight_smile:
Has someone experimented wifi connection ?

Wifi very likely won’t work. Most wifi routers queue up several packets(in this case, location sentences), and send them all at the same time. That is frustration and chaos for a scenario where we are trying to live stream location. You can give it a try, and see how good (or bad) it is, but do keep in mind that it might work poorly.
A lot are using a USB to Ethernet adapter to connect an Ethernet cable.
Thanks a lot. I’ll post here the result of my experience.
I’ve got the same, surface pro 4 I think. I used a usb to ethernet converter, works just fine
Better option is tablet with build RJ-45 port. For example:

Yes I am experimenting with a Surface Pro, GL-iNet Opal, and agopen GPS.
Also have a USB modem.
I get the system to work via wifi with a fixed ip in the computer. The modem has to be plugged into the computer not the Opal (router), otherwise it doesn’t work.
I am still trying hopefully to make it work so the modem is plugged into the router with the computer only connected via wifi this will make it easier for me to remove the surface from the tractor, but not having much luck as yet.
If You dont like using WiFi from hotspot via Phone - better option will be tablet with built in WWAN 4G LTE Modem (with SIM Card slot).
Or a 4G router as I have had bad experiences with WWAN modules. Sometimes they don’t support the bands needed. (i.e. didn’t work for me but 2 hours of driving away worked flawless for my friend…)
