Case IH Puma 175 Can-Bus Rear Hitch automatic lower/raise

Hi,

Thank you for great instructions, I managed to install AgOpenGps on year 2025 Case IH Puma 175 CVX auto steer ready tractor. I followed the instructions on Case CVX175 over CANBUS - #12 by andyinv.

AgOpenGps reads WAS and activation button status from Can-Bus connector located on rear right pillar and controls steering valves via green Can-Bus connector behind the seat.

I was wondering, what I am missing because I can’t make rear hitch lower or raise automatically? I have implemented external machine module card on different tractor but should this Can-Bus software (Autosteer_AOGv5_Teensy4.1UDP_SteerReadyCAN_AIOModified) support hitch control, too? Or shall Teensy code be modified?

AgOpenGps gives indication and sound when raise or lower is done but I am not sure what to configure in AgOpenGps and Teensy-software to make it work.

Ive not used or tried the hms yet with agopengps but im told it does work.
The nh hms is pretty rubbish anyway and over complicated to setup. I presume you’ve made and save a sequence and then reactivated the hms button?
Keep us updated if you make any progress
On another note you didn’t need to connect to the black plug everything is now on the green plug of your using the later teensy firmware, it used to be on 2 seperate plugs. Ive done 5 cnh and only ever used the green plug :+1:

There’s nothing in the CANBUS firmware to engage CaseNH HMS at the moment, you’d need to add it. But as Del_boy says, the HMS isn’t great on those. One reason it works on Fendt/Claas is there are separate Go/End type buttons, whereas on CNH I’ve seen, it’s just one button.

Hi!

Thank you. I didn’t know that AgOpenGps could work with just green Can-Bus interface - that sounds very convenient.

Actually, I have not tried to program HMS sequence. I just assumed that AgOpenGps would send pure raise / lower commands to the bus.

I am not actively investigating this issue at the moment but I will let you know if there are any updates. This is not mandatory feature at the moment but I thought it could be very useful to use it during ploughing, also during potato planting.
