Config-O-Matic not flashing F9P

Hi guys, trying the config-o-matic here to try and sort my delay issues!

When I connect, it doesn’t show me any firmware version as stated in the instructions! (COM7)

Then when I try to flash it says it failed

is there something else I am missing?

Thanks for your help

Why so many com ports showing?
What f9p standard or micro?
Have you hit flash firmware tab
Do you have any programs running in the background

I have software diagnostic running in the background and unsure about com 5
yes when I hit the flash firmware button, I get the fail error above.

it doen’t show me any firmware versions after I have click connect?

this is the kit I ordered at the time. (not using bluetooth)

Try closing all programmes in the background and restart configomatic.
You should only get 1 com port option if nothing else is plugged in.
Can you try a different usb cable perhaps but im guessing you’ve had it going already.
You are connected to the front usb on the f9p
Click on the ? Top right it’ll take you to a guide page

My computer always shows multiple com ports. I think they’re for connecting to the internal GPS receiver etc.

@Steveg93 are you sure com 7 is right? (Unplug the receiver, rescan ports, plug in the receiver, rescan AGAIN, and select the one that shows up)

No different. Is there a way of manyally doing it? Done it through ucentre before, but can’t find the correct BIN fill anymore?

Yep done that, com 7 disappeared, then reappeared as it should!

I wonder if it is a micro board i’m working with. Not too familiar with which is which.

Would that make a difference?
Antenna is still plugged in if that makes any difference?

It cant be a micro f9p as that needs configuring whilst on the board connected to a 12v power supply.
Put a picture up

No it’s def not then, is it possible that i need a different driver for the usb, windows automatically sorted that when i plugged it in

Am I supposed to be using the connector beside the antenna, as i have no cable that fits?

Is that not the micro f9p🤔
Thats not the standard f9p anyway as that has a usb plug front and back.
How have you been trying to connect to it if you havnt a cable that fits

Doesn’t appear to be either of these which are the main 2 that are supported

Only using the usb c port, i forgot to include a picture of it.

Im not sure what f9p that is but its probably not recognised by configomatic which could be your problem
You might have to configure it via ucentre perhaps

Ok, thanks for that. Sorry for the dumb questions. You have been a great help once again!

If your struggling ardusimple are very good and helpful and could no doubt point you in the direction you need to configure it. Im sure It’ll be possible

Thanks again will try that!

Use the latest test build of aogconfigomatic - that little adapter Ardusimple sell with the agopengps kit doesn’t work naturally, the new version can detect it and act accordingly. Still one or two bugs, but it will get the job done eventually.
