Connecting a GNSS USB receiver to AgOpenGPS

Hello,

I am working on getting AgOpenGPS running. I am trying to connect my Columbus P-7 Pro (Columbus P-7 Pro Submeter (0.5 meter accuracy) USB and Bluetooth GNSS – GPSWebShop) USB GNSS receiver to AgOpenGPS. I can get the signal up to work but I cant get signal down to work. Dose anyone have any ideas on what to do. Thanks

What do you mean by saying UP and DOWN about signal?

When I have the USB GNSS receiver connected it shows up with the following:

Also my Com port is set to 4. But the laptop is reading the GNSS from Com3. I am also connected to a local WiFi and not a hotspot. Don’t know if any of this will matter or not

Okay, the UP signal will start comming when you receive RTK corrections. So far it should work without internet (without rtk)

Ok how long dose that normally take? And is there any setting that I need to change?

Do you have an rtk base or data to connect to any caster? It can’t come from nowhere. Also you need to enable NTRIP options its right there in AgIo blue icon at the bottom.

I do not have a base station. I can use data on my phone.

You need to read more on forum and watch youtube videos about configuration and first run.

The data I was talking about is username, password, adress and mountpoint of the caster. Sharing the internet from your phone is not enough.

Your receiver doesn’t seem to be RTK capable. Sending data will change nothing.
