I was using a Venue 11 Pro 7130. I found the brightness was decent in a tractor with a lot of windows and excellent in our combine when mounted in a corner up against the ceiling. Both devices are rated a max 400 nits brightness but I did find a review of each rating their brightness (7130 389 nits, 7350 365 nits) and according to those reviews the 7130 is a little brighter then the 7350 so that’s a negative for the 7350. The 7350’s cpu appears to be faster, using less power too. I don’t mind a slightly larger display, but I would like a little more resolution then too.

So one of the things I’m wondering about is charging, what charging options does the 7350 have? Some online pictures show a barrel jack of some kind but does that plug into the detachable keyboard and/or into the tablet directly?

There are two power connector:

A) The power connector on tablet charge the tablet.

B) The power connector on kkeyboard charge the keyboard.

You need dell power brick with dell type connector.

Where is the tablet’s power connector? From pictures I’ve seen, I only saw one on the bottom for the docking station I think. So they use their annoying proprietary connectors? On my 7130 I could at least use a micro usb and a booster to feed it 19 ish volts.

Or go for the venue 11 pro 7140 with a 1.2GHz Intel Core M-5Y71 processor. It seems to be just as fast. My 7140 with M-5Y10c 0.8 GHz with 4 GB memory, runs AOG v4 sim with time number 5 to 7 (sometimes even 3) between frame update (frame count)
Edit: Left it on the table running for some time, and now the frame count is 10. I believe it is dut to the fan-les design, and the back became a little warmer, so maybe it would not matter if it is a 0.8 or 1.2 MHz processor, if it slows down to the same, due to temperature of cabinet/back of tablet. (eg in the sun in tractor)

Yeah, I have no problem with my 7130. Is the 7140 the same for charging as the 7130?

Yes micro-USB 19,5 V 1,2A 24 W
