To have an automatic function to drive backwards with autosteer enabled. Good compass needed and AoG needs to recognize that the compass flips 180 degrees to trigger backwards driving mode (switch from front to back axle steering)

To recognize the driving direction a digital input should be used.
Such a funktion whould make easy the ranking on the beginning of a trace.

Good idea, but it should also be possible with your IMU or even better, Dual antenna with Heading capabilities.
