Getting RTK from MN CORS base stations

So I found AgOpenGPS about a month ago, and got an f9p and antenna from ardusimple right away and have been playing around to get used to the software. I’ve hooked up the gps and gotten signal, but cannot get it to connect to rtk. I created an account and gotten my login info and everything from the state website to get access to MN CORS- but not sure what selections to make. Here’s a list of the mount points to select from- any help would be appreciated, as without RTK it’s reading about 20cm accuracy at 5 mph, which I’m not comfortable with not using markers when planting at that accuracy.

Try RTCM3.1 or 3.4
I would suggest AGRTCM31 or 34

CMRx CMR+ are for Trimble, mosaic X5 can use it too.

Where did you see this 20 cm accuracy? AgOpenGPS does not show the accuracy, to view that you need U-Center.
The cm’s in the top left corner represent the fix to fix distance.

Good point!
20cm is indeed the fix to fix distance at 5mph

Thank you I did not know that. But it doesn’t tell me anywhere that I have gps fix or rtk, and I get pop ups saying that it’s not getting responses, will try to get pictures of the screen tomorrow in action - saved me today having the light bar on the tablet! Hooked a marker arm on a tree branch and broke it, but was able to plant the whole field using the marker one way and AgOpenGPS as a light bar going the other way! Was very close even without getting the rtk to work even after selecting the AGRTCM34.

On the upper bar is an icon that could be red (no RTK), yellow/orange? (RTK Float ) and green (RTK Fix). You can press that button for more information.
The error messages make it look like you have a connection problem between AgIO and the caster.

Can you acces the caster using the Web browser on the same tablet?

IP address or URL that MN CORS gave you in an email

Port: 9000

Mount: AGRTCM34

Make sure your user name is in the right format and make sure the NTRIP button on the bottom of that settings page is green. Make sure you actually have an internet connection and a firewall isnt blocking it (clicking ‘Get Source Table’ should verify connection)

Then, most likely, you don’t have an Internet connection, an incorrect domain name or incorrect port.

Do what @samduster wrote

You were correct. My username was incorrect. Mncors needs the username to be in the / format with the forward slash that I removed thinking the slash shouldn’t be there. Fixed that and it worked! Got RTK fix and it worked perfectly. Now that I know it works I’ll have to buy the rest of the stuff I need to auto steer now for next year.

Only other issue I kept having was when backing into corners, it would flip the machine around, thinking that was the forward direction, then when actually driving ahead, it was backing up the machine on the screen which did not work for the coverage map or guidance line. Had to shut down AgOpenGPS, restart the program and reselect the field I was in and it’d work again tracking forward direction properly.

Was going to mention the / in the user name, glad you figured it out.

Make sure reverse detection is enabled and you have solid GPS before moving the machine. Also, theres an icon on the bottom that will ‘square up’ the implement when backing into corners.

Ive found that once you get settings figured out, everything should be saved then rebooted before going to work.

Also try to tap the tractor on the screen center, one tap and direction arrow change :slightly_smiling_face:
