Gyro stays red – motor not working

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my AOG setup. The motor doesn’t work, and I think it might be because the gyro indicator stays red all the time.
I’m not sure what this means or what I need to do to make it turn green.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what could be causing it?
Any tips or steps to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Thijs

Can you turn the wheels with the arrows in steer degree menu? Your name sound dutch.

I’m dutch
I can’t seem to find the steering degree setting or menu in AOG.

You need to create a field for the steer icon and imu to change colour.
If that doesn’t work put up some pictures of your board and setup up.
Have you been through the steer wizzard setup?
If you press the steer settings tab (above the green agio icon) you will see steer angle on that page

For some reason I have to short pin 8 (steerswitch) to ground one time whenever I start for the day, then I can turn autosteer on and off with the steering wheel button on the screen. Not sure if I have a setting wrong or not, but I tried turning the steer switch off, and then I couldn’t get anything. I think it is set as a button now.

When I first start, gyro is red, after shorting pin 8 once, gyro and steering wheel turn green. then when controlled from the touchscreen, clicking a green steering wheel turns the gyro yellow, and clicking a not green steering wheel turns gyro and steering wheel green. Hope that helps.

Set the steer switch to none

yes at first I didn’t have a button and I thought it would work with just a touch screen but that wasn’t the case after I added a button it works perfectly
