I am having a hard time to get AOG driving straight.
The steering is oscillating between the straight line and ~60 centimeters on the left of this line.
I filmed the AOG screen with setting and chart : agopengps - YouTube
Can someone guide me to the right settings to apply?
The latest version has a good feature to set the counts per degree, I would start with that. Check all your measurements then play with the look ahead in pure p
Thanks for the infos.
How can I check that the x/y axis (MMA) are correct?
Because the fact that the system is staying on the right side of the line only is maybe a question of hardware??
any tips now on the newer version 6?
some of the settings are renamed and a few either been replaced or done away with??
im struggling to get pp settings 100%
i can get it to average around 1.2-1.7 off the line but it has a very slow meander, set the look ahead up a bit to stop and i cant average less than 3
WAS zero, CPD, gain, min pwm etc all set as per latest videos
the system works respectable up to about 4.5mph but anything over massive wandering
i’ll post up my current settings in a bit when i get back to tractor
Not sure of your setup if CAN BUS your min to move may be ok. If it’s valve or steer motor I’d expect higher. Driving as slow as the tractor will drive (temporarily) set proportional gain to 1, set min to move at , turn steer slightly to one side engage the green tractor icon in the fly out menu on that settings screen you have pictured. Keep increasing min to move till wheels begin to straighten. On my setups typically between 60-80. Also proportional is usually 40-50.
Some people ask about reducing over shoot when in truth the problem is the steering isn’t responsive enough.
Open streer chart and see if the actual steer angle keeps up with set angle.
playing with that off the line i think its what help you get to the line and slows the weaving down until you got “on line”
if you stop short on a headland to your line and alter it you can see it going out and back
then when you drive and get “on line” the yellow dot comes closer to the tractor and is then " hold look ahead"
Another quick dirty check is to crank up min to move till the wheels wobble or are continually making small corrections while driving then back down a little till they settle down a bit.
hints and tips like these should all be documented in a easy to find thread on here
there is a vast array of hints buried through this agopengps group, but it takes some finding
