With much help from this forum I got all working well for a while then I lost Autosteer function last fall and never resolved the issue….and it didn’t fix itself over the winter so I am now back on it but need help. All functions work EXCEPT auto steer…Can’t make red steer indicator turn green. Steer wizard doesn’t show wheel angle changing when moving steering wheel.
Have the Range Rover WAS, which is sending a signal to the steer box (3.0V full left, 1.67V wheels straight and .41V full right).
Replaced both ADC and Nano (newly loaded sketch) with no change in function. Surface recognizes Nano and have tried new USB cable with no change.
Currently running AgOpenGPS 6.3…was running 5.7 and have both on Surface in tractor and both versions work the same except for auto steer.
I have a V2 steer board with Cytron and Phidget 24V steer motor. I can trace continuity and or current from through the ADC, into the Nano, out of the Nano to the R10 and R11 resistors and to the Cytron plug. Cytron manual buttons turn the Phidget motor correctly. I have steady RTK. The AgOpen software works EXCEPT for AutoSteer….
I am hoping I have missed a toggle in AgOpenGPS to activate autosteer, but where?
Thanks in advance for any positive direction.
Is NANO configured with last INO ?
Connect the serial monitor to your nano, and watch the messages during nano initialization. There you can see if ADC (WAS) and IMU where detected or not.
Yes, downloaded new sketch and up loaded it to a new Nano today.
will try the serial monitor route…thanks
Ran into a problem with serial monitor out put. When Nano is on steering box PCB neither AgOpenGPS serial monitor nor Arduino IDE serial monitor can find it’s port to read output. Figured out baud needs to be 38400. When Nano removed from steer PCB either AgOpenGPS or Arduino Serial monitor can read it thru its own USB, both in office desktop and on tractor surface…Somehow I can read GPS data thru serial Monitor on other port but not NANO data
?
I have GPS and Steer box USB cords going thru a hub, just to complicate things…So at this point I am unable to use serial output to see ADC or IMU data…Any suggestions and please type slowly and as few acronyms as possible, as I am in way over my head. Thanks
Disconnect AGIO, only serial monitor output direct from nano is interesting to figure out what happens inside your Nano/Board
