I am looking to set up rate control with an RC11-2 on a sprayer which just has a pressure control valve and pressure gauge which it uses to control the rate. Can i just control it the same way with the rate controller app, i am struggling to understand what information to put in to set it up that way is this possible or is there anything else i need to do?
What sprayer and controller do you have?
Its a berthoud sprayer it has a pressure control valve with a motor on it to adjust the pressure which i assume i control with the motor driver, i was mostly wondering how you control the rate using the pressure which obviously controls how many litres per minute each nozzle puts out
but as the pressure increases with each nozzle, the rate also increases, and thatโs not linear

Yes i understand that but can the rate controller app not calculate the rate off of the pressure the same as the berthoud box currently dose or am i going to need to install a flow meter and is it still ok to use the pressure regulator to control the rate? I am trying to understand what the rate controller app requires to work properly
It may be able to control the rate by pressure. The existing code uses a flow meter. It could be possible to make it work with revised code.
Ok thanks i think i will install a flow meter any advice on which flow meter to get and i take it rate controller take into account with a section switched off flow should be less or is there any more setting i need to be aware of?
Yes the app takes into account which sections are on. It works with most flow meters. I use this one: 01650, FM750 LF GFN FLOWMETER LOW FLOW 0.5 - 12 GPM (3/4" NPT)

Thanks i have bought a cheap flow meter off of amazon which seems to be giving an accurate enough reading. My problem is now that the rate doesnt seem to be getting adjusted as the motor driver isnt doing anything. What do i need to do to get it to move?
