John Deere Guidelines using CORS

Hey guys. Not exactly AgOpen, however I can see there are a lot of switched on people in this group who will no doubt be able to help with this one.

So, approx 12 years ago, lines were set in a paddock (field for countries other than Australia) using Greenstar with a SF3000 receiver. Today we grabbed the coordinates and put them into a screen connected to a CORS using GDA2020 for the coordinate system, and the line was out over 1 metre. By this I am not surprised, however I am struggling to find what coordinate system John Deere use, and how the coordinates we have can be converted to the GDA2020’s system.

Any help or ideas greatly appreciated

2 things that come to my mind:

ITRF vs ETRF → when using the international PPP solution we have to converge it to europe see: NRCAN ETRF2000 converter

2nd thing: Australia is moving / drifting so maybe the coordinates you’ve set 12 years ago wander by 1 meter?

Not sure how to convert to GDA2020

Thanks for your help. Yea Australia moves about 7cm per year. The more research I do on it, the more I realise we are just going to have to go out and create new guidelines from scratch

Australia CORS updated coordinates from AGD94 to GDA2020 to allow for this plate movement.

Thanks for your response. I tried the coordinates using GDA94 and it was worse
