KaupoiMOD PCB v2.0

seems good to me , but maybe add an 3v3 output ? for BN0 or other sensor 3v

MMA has internal pullup resistors https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/Accelerometers/SparkFun_MMA8452Q-Breakout.pdf

I’ve used BNO with 5V. But good idea, need to think about it.

Did some minor changes. I think it’s ready for now.

I like the motor controller mounted like that, then remotely mounting it ( which I think is better) doesn’t create wasted PCB space.

Yes. Now there is even a lot of empty space in the 150 * 100 * 50mm enclosure. In the pictures, the first one I made with this case design.20200113_194752 20200113_194819

Where did you purchase this

PCB:s from https://jlcpcb.com/ or https://www.allpcb.com/
Aluminium enclosure from AliExpress.
Other parts from AliE, Digikey, Mouser and TME.

I’ve finished my KaupoiMOD pcb v2 :grinning:!

Look really good!

can You prepare one for me?

I’m sorry, but I do not deliver abroad.

Board coming together here as well. Of course with child labour!

Rest of the parts stuck in customs from Mouser… Must say the jlcpcb board quality was a real nice surprise👍

Hey,

looks great, is it the seam part lists as i can download on github .v4.1 => supported files => PCB => AutoSteerPCB_Gerber xlsx

Best Regards

Yes.

I recommend to add:

  • 4 pcs Plastic M3x25mm standoffs and 8 pcs M3x8mm plastic screws to mount MD13s
  • 3 pcs Plastic M3x10mm standoffs, 6 pcs M3 plastic washers and 6 pcs plastic M3x6mm screws to mount ADS and MMA

okay, but in this excel there are in my opinion things doubled. Like the 12v relais.
Can you send your part Excel list maybe?
How expensive i just the platine to order? round about.

Regards Peter

Added a part list to https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ao6_PnVNR5RXhI9jpnAUmugnmvs8vQ?e=ous5T3
There is still few extra parts, small ones, but nothing expensive. I added the standoffs for MD13s, MMA and ADS to the list.
At the moment those parts on the list(index 1-29) for PCB cost 118,72eur at Digikey.
I updated the assembly guide too Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.

It’s alive! Had to order some of the parts from Mouser since out of stock from digikey. You can also find all three arduino boards from there (nano,mma8542 and ads1115), took the original arduino to be on the sade side.

For final install after testing, will probably get rid of the screw headers and solder directly from board to connectors in the case. Took the Amphenol C16 series 7 and 4 pin for the signal connectors, pretty similar to @Kaupoi design.
