Keya motor install

I would post this to “Keya Motor Installation Examples - Lots of Pictures” but that thread is closed. I recently installed a Keya motor on a 1066. The tractor originally had a tilt steering wheel but the tilt was worn out and since I never used the tilt anyways I installed the motor using a tilt eliminator kit. I cut off the tab that holds the motor stationary and welded it to the tilt eliminator block.

I haven’t ever seen anyone mention how they retain the motor onto the shaft. This is a bit awkward as the end of the shaft is down inside the Keya motor and a normal nut will not fit.

I made a nut by drilling and taping a piece of tubing to match the end on my steering shaft. I then cut the head off of a bolt leaving just a bit of the bolt shank and welded the bolt head to a washer. I then welded that to the end on the tube.

Nice setup!
I have reopened the Keya pictures tread

Hi Chris, don’t you buy the motor from Keya directly? We always supply compatible adapter to work with the tractor shaft. At the moment, our adapter models can be used on most tractor brands and models.

Is there any reason the A+ adaptor doesn’t show on the list? According to the telegram A+ is the perfect fit for nh.
