Hi there, so just hoping someone might be able to help me/or point me in a direction- I’m trying to convert a manual section control sprayer to electric with the aim to eventually connect it up with agopen- I literally have no clue where to start and and any of the ready to go section controls are out of my prices range- any help would be greatly appreciated
You can search through the forum “section control”

Plumbing will depend on the type of pump your sprayer has, positive displacement or non-positive displacement.
This link has a lot of good information about sprayer plumbing.
You can use high speed electric ball valves or solenoid valves to control each section. Ball valves are generally more reliable, but solenoid valves are more affordable.
There are a few different section control projects as linked in the above reply. The “basic” section control is very easy and affordable to set up. You just need an arduino nano and a 5v relay board.
The video in the above link gives a good explanation of the set up of section control. (The video shows a 2 relay board for section control, I used an 8 relay board when I made mine that could handle up to 8 sections) The system in the video will use on screen buttons to control the section and turn automatic and manual section control on and off in AgopenGps.
If you run out of time to build the section control system, you can control your electric valves on the sprayer with simple on/off switches until you get your section control set up.
