Measure Software's accuracy

Hello!

I am an undergraduate research assistant and am responsible for measuring how accurate the tractor’s auto-steer is functioning.
I believe the best approach would be comparing the difference in current position vs path, rather than physical markers on the field.
Is there any capabilites in gathering this data in the software?

thanks.

The difference in current position vs path is known as the cross track error or XTE. The XTE is available as a PGN (parameter group number).

I don’t believe the XTE is able to be logged without code creation or modifications.

If you are using an AIO (all in one) board, it uses a Teensy 4.1. The Teensy 4.1 has a micro SD card slot. You could modify the firmware to log the XTE and a timestamp to the micro SD card.

Since AgOpenGPS calculates and sends the XTE, you could modify AgOpenGPS to log the XTE and a time stamp to a txt file.
