Hello. I’m trying to setup a mobile base using rtkbase that could start streaming automatically at base startup. I have already set rtkbase to start streaming to caster automatically when it starts but I would still need rtkbase itself to run at base startup. This way I could avoid connecting my laptop to the base only to do 2 mouse clicks and then disconnect.
Has someone implemented something like this?
What two clicks are you doing now to start up rtkbase? Since everything in rtkbase is run by systemd, it should all start automatically now. I’ve only set my base up once, and everything runs automatically now.
I open my browser and there I open bookmarked rtkbase gui. But yes you are correct… I just checked rtk2go caster table and found my stream without opening the gui. Should have checked it in the first place.
I’m still wondering is there a way to access the gui after the ip change when using phone’s hotspot for base internet connection?
I use Tailscale VPN. As long as the base, and the device you’re trying to connect from both have tailscale, you can connect to the base from anywhere in the world.
