Move AB-line for single beam plough

I’m using a single beam plough to plough our fields. This means I sometimes start in the middle of the field, and plough the field “inwards”. Each furrow has 16" workwidth, so 64" for my 4 forrow machine. However on the first and second pass I want to overlap the first forrow to have a level surface, this means I would like the first and seond AB line to be 48" apart. Now i have to center the AB line after every rotation. Is this something that could be added to the software?

hope to hear your thoughts.

Deleted I got math wrong

You can copy the track, shift the new track to where you need it, and then rename the new track. Then use the arrow buttons to toggle between the two tracks.

thanks for your replies. @WildBuckwheat I’ll give that a try. but if I understand correctly that would mean I still have to switch with each pass. Would be ideal for me if i could run on the set AB line the entire field.

You would just need to give the correct tool offset? Something like 8 inches?

Edit:
Or put so much offset that the line is in the middle of the furrow your tractor wheel is driving? The painting would be offset I guess.

You understand correctly that with this method you still need to press a button to switch tracks each time you turn around.

But it’s just one press, less than what you’re doing now. With this method you can also nudge each land independently which is often required when plowing in furrow anyway.

That might be a solution for me yeah. When I do an offset of 8" away from the furrow I would expect the AB line to move 16" towards eachothter (based on driving direction). After that the plough width 64" should stay the distance between two AB lines.
Althou it’s true that driving in the furrow will probably mean I have to nudge or centre the line from time to time.
