While I’m at it. I see PETG+TPU is the recommended filament for printing gears, is there a reason nobody talks about nylon? I’d have thought that would be the best option. I know its fussy to print but the technology has come a long way in recent years.
PETG is sufficiently good material that is relatively easy to print and compatible with most printers. Next up I would print from ASA for additional strength and uv resistance. But you can print from any material if your printer supports it. Also there is price to factor in, 1kg of PETG is ~20$ vs nylon ~70$ can nylon gear use 3x less material to compensate.
