I was traveling the immediate next path but mapping made it appear as a skipped pass.
Could we see your antenna setup page, implement setup page, and implement offset setup page?
After deselecting “Reverse Direction” on the antenna page, the mapping worked correctly for me in all directions- no more overlapping and the contour line properly displayed where the tractor should travel.
Thank you all who advised me on this.
Was it showing you driving in reverse at times?
Not driving in reverse just in the opposite direction when I followed AB lines.
Was there a red arrow displayed on the screen while you were driving forward?
Check the antenna offset. My friend misunderstand the meaning of this setting and put the half of the implement width to this. He had similar issues. Also map was rotating wildly sometimes.
I thought this issue was resolved but it has happened again. During field spraying the mapped gps path does not match exactly on the ground.
Print screen below shows heading east along edge of previous mapped travel. Looks to be okay, but it’s not. Following the edge of the previous path on gps monitor is actually overlapping by 16 ft on the ground. I staked the edge of the path to get a read on the actual distance overlapped.
On the next adjacent pass travelling west at the staked field point the equipment is not touching the adjacent path even though the map shows the equipment following the edge. The distance not being covered is 16 feet.
Suggestion to check antenna offset led to adding an offset value of -488 cm (16 ft) as shown on the next print screen. But this did not correct the problem. Maybe I didn’t set the antenna value correctly? Just not sure why this is happening and what to do about it.
The screen you are showing, is for shifting your field, not your antenna. Return those settings to zero, and change your antenna offset under vehicle settings.
Make sure all the measurements in 2 and 3 of this screenshot are correct.
You can read more about these settings here.
Okay thanks. I’ll try that
Is your antenna really 16 feet (or 8 feet) off from the pivot point?
If the issue comes and goes, it does not sound like an issue with the antenna position offset setting. In any case, there are too many parameters to find a fix by trial and error. Need to learn what each individual parameter means and set each one at the time.
You are still driving forward and you still have reverse detection disabled?
Does the implement have a significant offset?
