Rate control setup RC 11

Hello all
I am setting up my fertilizer buggy with autosteer and rate control and the autosteer is all working great but I’m having trouble with the rate control. I am using an RC 11 board and controlling a hydraulic PWM valve which controls a motor for rate/flow control.

My problem is I can’t get the rate control app to move the rate motor at all. But I can run it by pressing the button on the Cytron. So I think the wiring is all right and probably has a configuration problem. I’ll try to post some pictures of my settings.

First picture shows UPM target is 0. It should not be 0 when moving and working width is >0. Is auto on? Second picture Min PWM is very high. It probably won’t work like that once you get the valve moving. Pins look right. What does your product rate page show?

Last page of the user manual has some troubleshooting help.

Auto was on. I can’t seem to get UPM target to be anything besides 0. Thanks for the user manual.

I tested your settings. They seem to work. I have attach the profile. Put it in Documents/RateController/Profiles and restart RC.

Thanks a bunch. After a little more playing with it I got the valve working but now when I go to calibrate I’m not getting a good pulse reading from the flow meter which is a Hall effect sensor measuring rpm on the feed shaft. It will count 6 or 8 pulses and then stop counting for 5 seconds or so and then count a few more pulses and so on. The sensor gives a pulse to ground and I tested it at the board and it gives a consistent pulse. Any ideas?

About how fast is the shaft turning? Very slow?

Around 40 rpm so a pulse every second and a half. Is that too slow to read?

Try changing the Min Hz to 0.5.
