Rate Control sk21 for electric seeder

Hi!

I would like to convert my mechanical seeder into an electric seeder. The distribution would be done via a 12V DC electric motor.

I see a lot of setups for sprayers, so I’m wondering if it’s possible…

Could this work with the RC12?

In the RC software, can calibration be done?

Thanks

It’s all possible.
Is it an air cart with a single metering unit? Or one for each row?

I don’t have an air cart.
It’s a seeder with a sprocket (toothed wheel).

Have a look at this thread, I’ve done a few seed drills since:

Yes you can calibrate the seed drill, you turn on calibration and stop it when you have metered sufficient seed, weigh the total weight dispensed, enter this value and the App will calculate how many pulses per Kg of seed. Repeat a couple more times to increase accuracy.

You will need to fit an encoder on the electric motor or shaft speed sensor on the metering system.

How many rows/runs
Depending on the width of the machine you may need a fair bit of torque to run it, particularly metering coarse fertilizer at high rates

Here’s another thread to look at.
