In the process of getting my first system set up. Will be on a Versatile 250. I have found a reasonably priced raven hydraulic block that is the same part number as what is in the raven manual for that tractor from a number of years ago. Is there any reason to not used it, or just order a Baraki valve? I have ordered a v4.5 micro PCB for this project. Thanks
I have just finished installing aog on a versatile sprayer with a Raven valve. It works fine. I have no experience with the Baraki valve.
@GVFarmer quick question for you. I am installing my raven valve now and am starting to build my harness. I am not quite understanding the pin out for the raven valve that has a Deutsch connector. Maybe I have overlooked it but I am not sure what Us, error, and Udc mean. I am also looking for the pinout on the raven pressure sensor.
Just to get you going a little bit. The udc and us is related to a Danfoss valve. So go down that path. IF the Raven valve actually is a Danfoss type. But your pinout table seem to come from Danfoss documentation
Ya I didn’t need that pin out for my project as I was able to tie into the main 12 pin Deutsch. If the pressure sensor has only two wires, then you should be able to give 12v to one and connect your signal to the other. I’m not sure it matters which one is which but if it doesn’t work you could switch the wires around.
Thanks for the reply. The pressure sensor has a 3 pin connector on it. I will search out some more documentation.
I did find the following pinout but not sure on how to wire to the amp connector.
Any help would be appreciated.
If it helps, my sensor has 3 pins, but only two were being used
Search on the forum for Danfoss. That is what you will have to use.
Udc is power (12v
Us is signal
Gnd is gnd
Error is not connected
There’s a danfoss section on the board. You will activate it with one or two jumpers.
Thanks for the help guys.
I do have the jumpers on the board for the danfoss. Will finish my harness and give it a try.
Thnaks again
Still working on getting this machine up and running between spraying and keeping the drill full. I beleive I have everthing configured correctly. Today I noticed that in the top right hand corner of the AgOpenGPS window it was “GPS single: age 0.0”. Mine is a dual system and I have dual selected in the configuration,
When I engage, it wants to steer all the way to the right.
Using a Raven (danfoss valve)
No cytron
@GVFarmer did you have a problem like this setting up your Raven?
Have 12volts going to the valve fom pin 7 in the amp, and signal from pin 5.
With my Raven valves I need the cytron. I don’t believe they are danfoss. If yours steers at all I’m guessing you’re ok there. Did you try reversing motor direction? Do you get a positive steer angle when turning right?
Thanks @GVFarmer.
Maybe I need the Cytron. I just kind of assumed that they were danfoss. I am not exactly sure how to tell them apart. I will need to look into that a bit more. Was the connector on your valve a 4 pin?
There was an old trimble system in this tractor before. So I don’t have the raven harness like yours did. I just bought a raven hydraulic valve for it.
I found this on the Raven support website. I’m pretty sure this is what you have so yes, danfoss. My valve is different. You can double check your plug pin out is correct. I would try to invert motor direction, and verify your wheel angle is positive when right, negative when left.
Got it working. Went through the steer wizard again. I must have messed something up in previous attempts. Just need to get the steering tuned better and all will be good.
Thanks for the help guys.
