Hello, before finding out about agopengps I was thinking about using Ardupilot and mission planner. Would have been harder since that’s not made to be used in an agricultural matter but might have worked. While trying out the waypoint missions on an rc plane I mounted that system on I saw that it had a self calibrating mode where you had to agresivelly fly the plane in order for it to understand how nimble the plane is. I was wondering if this can be implemented into aog. Have the tractor move left and right by itself and be able to set the algorithm and min pwm values by itself, self center the was and so on. Maybe make it able to understand how tight it can turn, how quickly the motor can turn the wheel and so on, maybe these values can help the tractor calculate it’s track better especially when turning or when acquiring an ab line, could remove the left and right oscillation before centering on the line.
I think it might do a better job especially for centering the was since it know when it drives perfectly straight by using the gps unlike a human.
( I reposted this since I posted it in the wrong category the first time.)
