Steer Settings in 6.7.0

Got to try out the autosteer last weekend. I think I have the proportional gain set well. Holds on a straight line well enough. Need to fine tune the u-turn settings a bit more. If I skip a couple rows on the u-turn to make a nice wide turn it sticks to the line quite well. When doing a sharp u-turn it gets way off the line sometimes and then starts oscillating back and forth until it finally settles on the line. I have watched the PWM videos but couldn’t find any videos detailing what the deadzone, speed factor, acquire factor, steer response and integral settings affect. Is there a video or github article explaining these settings a bit?

what i would like to see on those pages is on the speed factor=faster or slower instead of numbers
and on acquire=quicker or slower

as im not sure which way does what

Generally, you want Acquire to be faster (you’re trying to get to the line, so if you want that quicker you lower the number).

The default 0.9 is a good starting point. At 4.2, you’re telling it to go slowly. Also, show all the settings, not just the ones you think are helpful. You’re missing some useful information.
