Trouble getting Autosteer Settings Right

Hey everyone,

I’ve installed an autosteer system with the Keya motor on a spx3185 sprayer. The steering in the sprayer is a bit touchy, but for the life of us we cannot figure out the correct steering settings for the kit to be accurate with an AB line within 2inches.

We can get the system to steer fine for a little bit, but then it gets a little off the line, over corrects and gets more off the line. Pretty soon we are 24 inches off of the line and it can’t keep up with itself to correct it.

We have messed with Steer Response, Integral, prop gain, min to move, and max limit but nothing seems to fix it.

Is there another setting we should adjust? Any advise?

Thanks

I had troubles with a too low min to move. Since the pwm video said to turn it to the value as soon as the motor turns i set it to 1. However, that didnt work at all.

Then I changed min to move to 15. For me, that dramatically improved results

I don’t know if you have done the steer wizard yet but I would start over and do it again. Leave the integral at zero. That is for side hills and will only serve to confuse you when you are getting started. Familiarize yourself with with the settings generally do and it will make tuning much easier.
