I’m trying to edit the firmware with Charles Quick’s software steering disengage. It uploads fine to the teensy and the serial monitor looks good but the orange light will never start flashing. I tried uploading the unedited files and the same thing happen. The same thing also happens when I upload the v4 hex file downloaded from the agopengps GitHub page. But I can upload v2 using Arduino and the v4 hex file from cconfigomatic and they works just fine. Is there something wrong with the file on agopengps GitHub? I’ve been pulling my hair out all afternoon.
Which arduino ide are you using and do you have teensy duino installed aswell?
Some versions of ide dont work
I believe 1 8.19 works the best
I’m using Arduino 2.3.2 and teensy 1.57.3. the thing is I can upload anything else to the teensy and it works just fine. It’s only the v4 firmware from the agopengps GitHub. Neither the .ino or the hex file work. They seem to upload fine and show up on the serial monitor except when I plug them into the board the orange light never starts flashing. Bricbric’s .ino files work just fine and so do any v2 .ino files I tried. I have tried this multiple times and the same thing happens every time.
Which files are you struggling with
Can’t see no reason that wouldn’t work.
That is strange..
Orange light not flashing can mean no gps.
Are you getting green connections in agio for steer gps and imu?
Try a different teensy maybe
I have imu and steer. No gps. I do have another teensy I could try but I’m not optimistic at that. I will keep messing around with it and hopefully figure something out.
If you have no gps icon green in agio the teensy wont flash orange.
What gps reciever are you using?
Have you had this pcb working before and running a sketch?
If so what is different/new this time
Try another teensy to be sure.
Youve not altered any gps serial ports in the ino by mistake or baud rates?
Which pcb are you using
This is just my test setup with a standard board and f9p . It works perfectly with the teensy flashed with anything else. The only thing that doesn’t work is any of the v4 firmware from agopengps GitHub. I also tried the teensy in the working setup in one of my tractors with the same results. It also works fine with the hex file off configomatic.
Which board have you got?
Are you using a v2.5 board with v4 firmware?
Try a new teensy. You might have a dud serial pin on the teensy or something
Maybe check the gps is forwarding to udp not serial usb in agio
