U turn shape request

I’m wondering if the next release could include an option for modifying the uturn shape. With the current u turn shape and with a long hitch towed implement, the tractor must loop wide on the initial part of the turn. This results in curved lines at the end of the row. I think if the center point of the U-turn could be shifted towards the direction of turn to make a lopsided U would work better. Like drawing below?

Im sure this worked before, theres Uturn compensation slider IN <> OUT. And it worked I played with it in simulator but in these latest versions it doesnt seem to work no matter how I put the slider ita always the same

My experience with the u turn compensation slider if that it either cuts the whole turn tighter or wider. It mostly just helps to compensate for vehicle geometry and stick closer to the prescribed path. Didn’t early versions have a few different patterns to use?

I thought the same thing. My tractor always runs a little wide on the u-turn. It should be able to steer quick enough to make the turn. The slider didn’t seem to change things much

change the radius of the turn?

To be clear, the current software works for what I use it for. If the center of the u turn could be offset would work better and be closer to the shape of a manual turn. With a trailed implement, it just works better.

Yes, I tried some different radius settings. The steering just seems too slow. It always slowly overshoots the drawn line. I can’t seem to get the rate of turn high enough. I know the tractor can easily make the turn drawn with the steering wheel. The last operation I did was a 17.5’. (5.33m) 3 point mounted implement and I set up skip pass u-turns, so it had 35’ or 10.66m before it needed to be on the next line, but it always swung a couple rows past the drawn u-turn line and had to steer the tractor back to the line

keep bringing the radius down, thats what i did

Adjust your max limit higher.

Thank you, I will try that. I was working the opposite way, thinking it would be easier for it to follow a wider radius

I have it maxed out, but it still does not turn nearly as quickly as it does when acquiring the line

Try raising your cpd some.
