(Variable) Rate control

Got the flow working. Thanks for your help.
In the latest version of the INO for udp it seems the pin for flow meter signal is already set for D3.

Is there any info on what the PID settings do KP, Brake Point etc? Just fine tuning it now.

They are all similar to the autosteer settings. KP is speed of adjustment. High Max is the maximum speed of adjustment. Brake Point is the error percentage below which a slower speed of adjustment is used. Low Max is the maximum speed of adjustment below the Brake Point. Min PWM is the minimum pwm to get the valve moving. Deadband is the allowable error percentage where no adjustment is made.

Thanks.

Hello KentStuff, I canā€™t understand everything because my English is poor, sorry, will there be 3 flowmeters in the machine when you say the applied areas? Or VRA or variable rate control? If so, can this process be done with pwm nozzles that work independently of each other and without using a flowmeter? The only thing we need to know is the type and model of the nozzle used (example 110-03 blue nozzle-1.20 l/min at 3bar)

pwm

Flow mapping is what I am working on. I will be adding the pwm later to adjust the flow. Right now what we need on our farm is to know if all the nozzles are working properly. We have a three section boom, 3Ā± meter each section. If I have the same jets on all three, I should be able to see if something is wrong in one of the sections while I spray. My thought is that if the nozzle does not work, the PWM is useless.

Flow control is already being used, but did it really get applied. That is what our farm needs to know.

Very good idea, congratulations, I wish you success, speaking of nozzle control, I was very interested in a system that controls nozzles one by one in agriteknika (Hannover), I think it uses radar technology.

Thereā€™s a type of ball valve used for flow control, theyā€™re called v-slot or v-type, they have a better linear flow throughout the positions than the normal ones, and some even have feedback position built-in.
I found some cheap ones from Aliexpress if anyone is interested. I donā€™t know if they are good, I havenā€™t bought them yet.

My plan is to use it to control the flow rate on my row seed inoculator.

hi, i would like to put a motor to my fertilizer spreader for variable rate. I am thinking about the first variable rate AOG which once used a color detection to find in what zone the tractor is.

If i can import inside aog this type of map i think when my tractor enters a zone, the linear actuator could open or close the spreader lever increasing or decreasing the amount of fertilizer.
Is something like that feasible?

How is this different from the old way it worked? We mapped a bit of things doing opengrade. May be an option to use a similar planner feature, that we do in AOG-Tree to build a grid in its own draw screen that finds the weighed average in the four quadrants around to know what rate to apply.

Itā€™s easier to use polygons if data is in wgs84 format

Is it possible to do what I want with this rate controller?

Hi
I donā€™t think itā€™s possible with v5.
There was an old version of AOG/VR

The video from @BrianTee_Admin

It was some testing I suppose, donā€™t know if the code is available somewhere.

I canā€™t find this version, I am sure I have downloaded a that time, but I think it no more in my pc.
Should be 3.6

What format would you build your map? Do you want to build the map inside aog or separately? Would you be using the machine.ino or the autosteer.ino?

The whole issue with the rate background was lining everything up. I think if inside of ABDraw or ā€œApplyRateā€ you could paint inside the boundary or pick rate points it may be more user friendly. Iā€™ve got some ideas to start working with.

The last time the background was available was June 2019. It was not an official release at that time. Have you imported the background in AOG-TREE? It is based off a similar procedure. All the rate stuff was not brought in, just the background.

I have such a version, I can send it by mail.

Shape file from one soil then I can do the same steps as Brian to import it inside Aog as PNG. The most important thing is that Aog send to machine module or another type something which can tell me I am in that part of field.

If it is 3.0 maybe it is still available from github, I check then ask for it if it is not that one. Thank you!

From what I see on AOG VRversion it does not send a position but only the Fact that you are driving on a specific color. In my case I would have 3 different colour, when I am on green Aog should send for example zone 1, than 2 than 3 so on. My module should take that number and pull or push the lever of the fertilizer
