Has anybody looked at building DIY virtual fence?
To do what?
The ublox F9P natively supports geofencing of up to 4 round areas. You can upload and configure these with ucenter. One of the GPIO pins is GEOSTAT.
AOG also has an in/out of boundary indicator. I don’t know for sure, but I suspect that it’s in the PGN and available over Ethernet.
Yes pgn 239 to the machine board…
I have wondered this too. Would there be a way to modify agopen to run a virtual fence collar? I don’t know enough about the technology to do it. But it seems in some ways easier than staring a tractor.
The lack of a subscription fee is what I love about agopen and so far as I can tell every virtual fence company has a subscription fee.
Definitely think there is a awesome project opportunity for someone to write open source virtual fence software. Making the hardware compact and robust enough would also be needed. currently above my knowledge though!
