Angular is what my colleagues in the company are using as well. But I’m a hardware developer - so I can tell you everything about hardware up to C and some Python, but that’s where my knowledge ends and that doesn’t help here… And I’ve the same roots: A friend of mine as me to help him.
So if someone takes the lead on that I would adapt my PCB assembly as a pi4 extension. For me, “web based” definitely is the future.
