Hello,
I want to make automatic mapping of field when the hydraulics are raised or lowered.
I already found out that the work switch pin is intended for this, but I wonder what I should connect to it, GND or can I also connect voltage?
I had the idea of getting the hydraulic position (raised, lowered) from pin 4 on the ISO 11786 7 pin connector that I have on the tractor. If anyone has done something similar, please help, because I would not like to complicate things that may not be necessary at all.
I have PCB version 4.x.
I try wire directly to workswitch but it doesnt work, when i wire ground to workswitch, it is works, so i have plan to put relay in wiring ( with signal from iso 11786 pin 4 to turn on/off relay and then switch off or on gnd)
No, it invert only the signal, if it is on or off, not the signaln with which you power on optocoupler ( in this case must be GND), i try to invert with funcition in setting where are these mode and for steering on same screen, if its to invert powersignal somewhere i dont know.
On my AIO V4.5 workswitch is on Ampseal connector 9, it can ONLY function if you connect to GND. On my board there is a test button for Work just beside an optocoupler, don`t you have that? The LED beside the testbutton light up both when button is pressed or pin 9 is to GND
Page 6 in schematics, you see workpin (pin 9) is fed with 5V via a resistor and the optocoupler and a diode (to prevent any voltage from pin 9, entering AIO circuit ) tThe 5 V ends up with only 3.8 or so V at pin 9 due to the mentioned components between.
The optocoupler here makes the teensy Worksw pin low , when pin 9 is at GND.
yes i figured it out that is turning on only with GND, and yes i have that test button with LED. What you use for switching GND on or off based on the signal from the 11786 connector? optocoupler?
Yes I believe an optocoupler would work. No extra resistor between pin 9 and GND, and just hope the current will be high enough to activate work optocoupler. But I don’t know any specifications for ISO so have no knowledge of the voltage and the resistor needed to prevent the led inside new optocoupler from burning!
Check which optocoupler legs to use for what, in schematic above
