I think it would be better to use mm for all metric dimensions?
AGO use cm but most systems use mm? 95% of time cm would be enough, especially for grading but if you have something special like 30 inches row, that’s 76.2cm

Split the settings into multiple pages and changed to mm. Andy

Status display got a bit out of hand so I split it up into pages. Andy

Good to see someone working on an updated grading app! :+1:

I have a modified version of OGX that worked with a single AiO running modified firmware (combined BlackAce’s two esp firmwares’ functionalities). I was doing Autosteer and grading with one AiO Proto. If you’ll support UDP connections I’ll definitely be interested in testing.

I’d like to see the ability to set a point, heading and single or dual slope without needing a survey.

If you need any icons or images, I can help you, just ask.

Yes I have my UDP adapter board on it’s way to me so that is definitely happening.

What is dual slope?

Thanks! I will let you know once the app layout settles down. Andy

Sometimes it’s convenient to enter your grade plane as two slopes, North-South and East-West. For example, 0.1% North & 0.1% East instead of 0.14% at 45deg.

Yes dual slope would be very useful. Sort of simple 3D in a way.

Ah! OK. Yes, then don’t need expensive software like Optisurface. Got it. Should be easy to do. Yes I will include that. Andy

I presume when entering a slope like that the earthworks will be calculated so they are balanced. Optisurface uses a ratio of 1.2. Does that always work or need to be customizable?

I think in optisurface it’s a fixed value

Just wondering about the potential to use this for skid steer autosteer?

I’m not currently planning on autosteer (although my hardware can support it) because for land leveling it’s not following parallel lines to move the dirt around. However I am open to convincing.

My dream would be for lots of people to use this software with the data logging feature turned on. Then we can feed all of that data into a dedicated AI and it can produce the most efficient haul routes for new fields.. Then we could use autosteer and follow the paths.

No, it’s adjustable. And you have to go in a specific place so it calculate, it’s not calculated by default.

At least that’s my experience.

If you can code it. Would not be so easy as the user would have to enter the area where he want that slope and if he want to import/export dirt from the zone.

Just the slope and being height adjustable quickly and easily is a nice beginning.

Three points and choose the slope between each point (% or cm) for two slope feature
