ardusimple makes a xbee socket bluetooth module, is it possible to use that as the entire link to the tablet instead of a network cable while in the field? I mean like configure the board or software to make that a possibility. I havent built the system yet just researching and would love that option.

No. There is more communication between the board and the computer than just location info.
Im sorry i should have been more clear it was a hurried thought late at night. Is there a way to configure the board or software or combo to make it the only link needed?
