Do not want to sound harsh… but most you post is already spoken for in many other posts. Any one correct me if i am wrong. And tests you run are alo already done by many. Mabye open a project topic from your self and post all things you want in there.
Hi , for Um982 dual setup (from configomatic) which sketch to choose for teensy for keya? I have 4.5 pcb standard and green um982. I did everything using configomatic but the middle led is blinking. Rtk fix is correct but no roll. Heading not working
Hi I am working on a new setup using a UM982 connected directly to AOG through a usb c connector. I have the Ksxt message active and heading roll all good. Only problem, that message doesn’t update rtk age. So I tried adding the GGA message, that fixes the rtk age problem but then the missed message counter goes up. Will that cause any other problems?
Hi everyone. I have read the entire topic and my understanding is the ali UM982 is as good as duel f9ps at a much lower cost and this can plug directly into the v4.5 standard board. What i’m unclear about is how to go about corrections with xbee radios as I don’t have reliable cell coverage in my area.
Would I be limited to the micro board and F9Ps or Ardu UM982 with an xbee socket or is there a solution I missed? Thanks for your help with this in advance.
The v4.5 board doesn’t have a dedicated Xbee slot. You could mount the radio on the underside of the board with double sided tape and feed the serial output to one of the two UM982 UART ports that are on the v4.5 board. Or find a good spot for the radio somewhere in your case and run wires from it to the UART2 or UART3 port of the UM981. The UM982 UART ports are broken out on the v4.5 board.
Currently have UM982EB, a pair of STA-901A GNSS antennas and hooking up to UPrecise it manages to pull in a lot of satellites.
I also have an account with Missouri’s MoDOT NTRIP system.
I have followed a few tutorials on hooking up with MoDOT but the moment I hit CONNECT in the UPrecise RTCM Monitor I get a very immediate red INPUT button and a green OUTPUT button. The immediacy of the reaction leads me to believe there is something on my end in UPrecise that is the culprit but I think I’ve run out of ideas.
I’ve tried this tutorial starting with a FRESET:
…and this tutorial:
…in both cases no connection to M0DOT on UPrecise.
So is the UM982 breakout board slot compatible with the v4.5 AIO mainboard? i.e. I’d buy this board (that @chri5k linked in the first post) and it would slot in the AIO mainboard and with the correct Teensy4.1 firmware (I think @chri5k’s repo has the latest sketch) should just work?
How do we configure the UM982 board for rover? Do we need to connect it through the AOG board(like micro F9p), or can we configure it directly with the computer?
I’m trying to get a Witmotion UM982 rtk module to run as dual on an AIO 4.5 board.
I’ve connected RX/TX1 to one F9P slot and RX,TX2 to the other and I’m getting gps signal as normal in Agio but nothing on second antenna.
Not sure if its a connection issue or UM982 configuration.
I’m running AIO Canbus sketch on the Teensy.
Hello , try to Connect Rx and Tx to the first F9p slot, the one at the corner
You don´t have to use the second F9P slot, and in Agopengps configure as single antenna
The um982 can send all the required data on one port so you don’t need to connect two serial ports but you should still set AgOpenGPS to Dual antenna mode. Then check the data stream in AgIO to confirm it’s receiving PAOGI
What is the best file to upload to the Teensy (preferably a HEX file), where the BNO085 is less effective and the roll is instead derived from the two antennas?
Edit, I don’t have the Keya motor. Og setup with the 24v motor on the steeringwheel.
