John Deere

Hi. The belt is HTD 5M. Yes have some videos. It worked well but the tape what i used to fill the gaps was pulled out. Dont know yet when but will try to redraw it to have better fit and reinforce it. Dont know what proportions have your steering wheel and if it fits. The easy way to go is with a wheel that is pressed to the steering wheel like by ezsteer. This was after 100 ha of seeding with AOG : Sard Work Gain View Version 4202 - YouTube

what length of belt did you have??

The lenght is 670 mm.

Any mounts out there for older Deere tractors? Looking specifically 4960 or 8100 at this time. Great work. Thanks!

what motor or rpm are you using

I am trying to get quotes for the laser cutting. How much did you pay to get them cut?

Hello

For laser cutting you can consider around 60-100€ and I do only in stainless because it is more precise cutting

It is not easy to give you more precisely because i do lot of proto parts for this tractor and the claas combine included Was Bracket and GPS bracket

What model of motor are you using?
I see is 12v

Thx

yes i use 12V motor connect to Cytron on Boad PCB V2

Tested the design on 6R.
Like the assembly, as it doesnt do hardly any harm to the steering column.
Also possibility to guide the cables trough the made “slots” into the steering column.
Looks clean.

Printed the motor gear falsely in petg not in tpu.
So did go the long way and redesigned the gears. Straight spur gears.

steeringwheel_assembly

Adapts 1:1 to bricbrics design.
Printed with 100% infill in petg.
Hardly recommend the design with Phidgets motor.
At 24V runs very smooth in my opinion.
Feel free to give it a go if you like.

Greetings.
Thanks to bricbric.

^ Nice, do you have the drawing file for this? I’d like to adapt it to the Versatile / Steiger steering wheel

Uploaded the drawings.
If you plan to redesign them (bigger / smaller diameters) i highly recommend creating new ones with the spur gear addon of fusion360.

I ended up modifying it in sketchup before seeing this post, left the gear the same but changed the layout of the mounts. Thanks

Looks really nice! So you did all the parts from 3d printed petg, no laser-cut stainless steel?
This should also fit for a JD 6120R (2017), right? Do you have your own 3d printer, or where did you order the parts?
Is there any difference between Phidgets 3269_3 and _2? Do they both fit into this setup? Do you know this website (https://www.dmmltdb.com/phidgets-32693-getriebemotor-24v-51kgcm-588rpm-4251-dc-getriebemotor-p-778896.htm)? Looks very cheap with no shipping costs for me, but I dont find anything about the website, doesn’t look quite trustworthy to me…

All PETG except the baseplate which is screwd to the steering column as seen in the video of @bricbric. Plate is steel. Printed it on my Artillery Genius. Came out pretty decent. There are also other good ones as well.

Should fit in all 6Rs and 6030P / 7430 / 7530 models.
6M models do have the older design of steering columns.

I redesigned only the back part of the machanism otherwise it wont hold up when 3d printed.

Its not perfect. Its on my list to redo it, but i can upload it if there is interest.
Bought the motor from autosteer.cc. Price is fine there.
Website from your post seems dubious.

Greetings.
