My base station consists of a tripod, a small Harbor Freight Apache case, a magnetic survey antenna, a 2.4GHz antenna, a USB battery pack and an Ardusimple simpleRTK2B board with XBEE.
I have drilled holes in the sides of the case and attached panel mount SMA connectors. One for the GNSS antenna and one for the 2.4GHz antenna.
The whole box then screws onto the tripod.
This is fine for my use, but I may hire someone to operate my tractor, in which case the set up of the base station needs to be robust and able to withstand some abuse. I am worried about the SMA connectors, they seem… delicate.
Any suggestions on what I can do?
Thanks, Andy
